A friend from a foreign company was laid off more than a year ago and had worked in the company for 20 years. He told me that he had left the company for more than a year and had not contacted any of his former colleagues. It was as if he had never been in that company. Twenty years seemed to have disappeared without leaving any trace.
This is the case for foreign companies and private companies. Sooner or later we will leave and the song will end.
If you zoom in further, life is the same. The friends around me change every five years and once every ten years. Those good brothers and sisters who once ate and slept together now have nothing to talk about when they meet, and it's an awkward silence.
