1. Ripple faces $2 billion fine from SEC 2. Solana

• The SEC asked a judge to fine Ripple $2 billion for documents that will be made public today as part of the long-term confrontation between Ripple and the SEC

• Solana Foundation found that about 70% of Solana blockchain users use only USDC, while Polygon and Ethereum users [80% and 70%] tend to use only USDT

• A new Fantom sequencer [a mechanism that processes transactions from the mempool and transmits to other network nodes] called “Sonic” will be launched late summer of this year. TPS will increase more than 10 times, to 2000 transactions per second.

Ethereum speed is 20 tps, and Solana is 3,000 tps

• Two of KuCoin's founders face criminal charges related to the exchange creating accounts for US citizens and hiding the existence of US clients on the platform

The CFTC accused the exchange of illegal futures trading

In 2022, almost 1/4 of KuCoin's traffic came from the United States

• The London Stock Exchange announced that from April 8 it will accept applications for the listing of exchange-traded notes (ETN) on BTC and ETH

The first crypto ETNs will begin trading on May 28, 2024, subject to FCA approval

• Total net inflows into spot BTC ETF on Monday were just $15.7 million
