Bitcoin struggles to break $64,000. Altcoins follo

Bitcoin still remains uncertain, failing to surpass the $64,000 level. Bitcoin, which recovered to $67,000 after the sharp declines over the weekend, immediately started to lose value and is currently below $64,000.

Altcoins also generally follow a stagnant course. While ADA and BCH are experiencing slight losses, NEAR and PEPE are among the biggest gainers.

Bitcoin's fourth halving is often seen as a catalyst for future price increases, and this event is just days away.

Most altcoins fell hard during the weekend crash. ETH, BNB, ADA, AVAX, BCH, DOT and LINK are still in the red, with only SOL, XRP, TON, DOGE and SHIB making slight gains.

The most significant price increases came from NEAR Protocol's native token and popular meme coin PEPE. It increased by 6% on the first day and 5% on the second.

However, total cryptocurrency market capitalization is still very shaky and is about to fall below $2.4 trillion in CG.
